Steam Capsule Sizes & Free Templates

Every Steam store and library image your game needs, at the exact pixel size, with Valve's rules for each one and a blank PNG template to design on.

Store capsules

Header Capsule

920 × 430 px

The header capsule is the most-seen image of your game on Steam: it sits at the top of your store page and in recommendation lists.

Small Capsule

462 × 174 px

The small capsule is what players see in search results and top-seller lists, often shrunk to just 120 × 45 pixels, so it has to be almost all logo.

Main Capsule

1232 × 706 px

The main capsule is the big image in the carousel at the top of the Steam home page, the largest spot your art gets on the store.

Vertical Capsule

748 × 896 px

The vertical capsule is the portrait image Steam uses on the front page during seasonal sales and on newer sale pages.

Library assets

Library Capsule

600 × 900 px

The library capsule is the portrait tile that represents your game in players' Steam libraries and collections, after they own it.

Library Hero

3840 × 1240 px

The library hero is the wide banner at the top of your game's page in the Steam library. Your library logo is placed on top of it, so the hero itself contains no text.

Library Logo

1280 px wide and/or 720 px tall px

The library logo is your game's logo on a transparent background, placed on top of the library hero. It should be 1280 pixels wide, 720 pixels tall, or both.

Already have your key art? The Steam image resizer crops it to every size above in one go. Valve also publishes official PSD templates in the Steamworks documentation. For design advice across all capsules, read the Steam capsule art guide.
